In February 2021, I had the unique and eye-opening opportunity to visit a growing homeless camp in the LaVilla neighborhood of downtown Jacksonville, Florida. From February 3rd until March 9th, I listened, observed, developed relationships, and documented the wide range of individuals who called this their home. This book bares witness and gives a small glimpse into the lives of almost 200 individuals who shuffled through the camp.
